Brits show interest In Dubai property

British buyers are among the largest purchasers of property in Dubai, new figures show.

According to a report by Dubizzle, potential British investors accounted for 15 per cent of all interest made by overseas investors in the emirate during August. Only Indians (19 per cent) and Saudi Arabians (16 per cent) showed more interest.

The most searched areas by overseas property buyers in August 2017 were Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Marina, the Palm Jumeirah, Abu Hail and Downtown Dubai.

“While recent local trends suggest that the interest of mid-market homes and newer areas are taking the spotlight away from the more mature areas, interest from foreign investors is more varied,” said Barry Judge, general manager of Dubizzle.  “There seems to be a healthy interest in the Dubai property market with the popularity of areas being distributed among more mature areas and newer, up-and-coming communities.”

Americans were also among the most interested overseas purchasers of properties in the emirate (13 per cent), followed those from Pakistan (10 per cent) and Ireland (8 per cent).
