Investor Retirement Visa

Applicants for this visa must be over 55 years of age
Be sponsored by the state in which they wish to reside and meet the following financial criteria:
Those who wish to settle in a regional/low growth area of the country will need to provide a minimum designated investment of Aus$500,000, while anyone wishing to stay in a non-regional or non-low growth area will need Aus$750,000. in addition they will need to provide evidence of additional transferable assets and an annual net income of either Aus$65,000 or Aus$50,000, again depending on where they wish to settle.

Processing time
The current processing time for migration to Australia under the Australia Investor Retirement Visa is four to six months from the start of the process. The investor retirement visa is a four-year temporary visa renewable for an additional four years on an ongoing basis if the visa criteria continues to be met. The visa can be renewed as many times as long as this remains the case.
Alternative
The only other alternative for applicants aged 55 or over is one of the two parent migration routes, or the aged dependent relative route.
