Key requirements
To qualify through the investor route, you must have spent at least two years in the management of a qualifying business and have controlled a percentage of equity in this business. You will also need to score at least 35 points on a selection grid, have a net worth of at least CDN$800,000 and be prepared to make an additional investment of CDN$400,000 into your new business. Basic health, language and character requirements; also as well as submit a suitable business plan.
Processing time
Over two years in most cases. It often isn't essential to run a business once you've qualified for this visa.

Prove that you have managed and controlled a percentage of equity of a qualifying business for a sufficient time, have a legally obtained minimum net worth of $300,000 and score at least 35 points on the selection grid. Self-employed person – experience in either: Self-employment or participation in world-class cultural activities or athletics or farm management experience. note that the the provincial nominee programme also offers business/investment visas.
