Top place to live in America named
The small city Asheville, North Carolina has been pushed into the spotlight by website Relocate-America, which named it the top place to live in America 2007
Outside the US the city may be relatively little known but two million visitors come every year to experience fine cultural attractions and enjoy views of snow-capped winter views.
Other cities featuring in the poll of the 100 top places to live in the USA include more familiar names. San Francisco, California and Chicago, Illinois made it into the top ten while New York city, Houston, Texas and Seattle, Washington State can be found in the top 100.
However, by no means was Asheville the only surprise entry as Rome in Georgia, Exeter in California and even Surprise in Arizona made the grade and are included in the charts.
So what took Asheville to the top of the charts? It is a beautiful little city of around 75,000 people and enjoys thriving property, job and education sectors.
