Job opportunities in Australia

If you’re thinking about emigrating to Australia for work, one of the first things you need to ask yourself is whether your desired occupation is in demand.

The Department of Employment carries out research to identify skill shortages in the Australian labour market. Currently there is demand for a wide range of professions including accountants, agriculture and horticulture occupations, automotive trades, building professions, architecture and building technicians, childcare occupations, engineering professions, food trades and teachers.

The following website outlines the skill shortages in Australia and permanent and temporary skilled migration programs: Skilled Occupation Lists.
