Emigrate London Visitor FAQ
What time does Emigrate London at Lords open and close to the public?
The Show opens on Saturday at 10.00am and closes at 4pm and on Sunday the show opens at 10.00am and closes at 4pm.
Whereabouts at Lords is the show being held?
The show is taking place in the Nursery pavilion, which can be accessed via the North Gate on Wellington Place.
Is there car parking on site? And is this free?
There is no parking onsite at the venue, but there is free roadside parking throughout the weekend. The venue is outside the congestion charging zone, which does not operate at weekends.
Which is the closest train station and how far is this from the venue?
The nearest tube station to Lords Cricket Grounds are St Johns Wood on the Jubilee Line (grey), Warwick Avenue, Marylebone and Edgware Road on the Bakerloo Line (brown), Edgware Road is also on the circle (yellow), district (green) and Hammersmith (pink) lines.
Is the exhibition indoors?
Yes the exhibition is indoors and under cover.
Should I bring a copy of my CV with me?
We would advise you to bring a copy of your CV and any other information that you feel relevant, now's the time to get all those questions answered!
Do I need a ticket to get entry?
Yes you must have either purchased a ticket in advance or on the day at the reception desk. Adult tickets are priced at £10, or £8 if purchased in advance online. Children under 16 are admitted free.
Do you accept credit cards as payment for tickets?
Yes we accept all major credit and debit cards.
If the show is very busy, will I still get in to it?
Yes the hall is large and you will get into the show without any problem.
Are tickets refundable if we can't attend the show?
Tickets are non-refundable; we can however transfer them to another Emigrate exhibition later in the same year.
What if I can't attend the show on the day for which I booked my ticket?
Tickets are only valid for the day stated on the ticket. If you are unable to attend on this day then please contact us on 0773 471 7374 to arrange a replacement.
Do senior citizens and students get a discount on entrance tickets or Presentation Passes?
No. All ticket prices are kept to an absolute minimum.
Are children welcome at the exhibition?
Yes we welcome children of all ages, but please note these shows can be very busy.
Is there a crèche or any similar facilities on site for us to leave our children whilst we are at the exhibition?
No.
What happens if I lose my child?
Please go to the main Emigrate stand or reception and desk and we will broadcast an announcement immediately and assist in relocating you with our child.
Do I need a Presentation Pass?
Presentations are included within your ticket price, but are limited on seating space.
How long do presentations tend to last?
Presentations vary on depending on the country and subject covered, but on average last 30 minutes.
Once I have entered the exhibition am I able to leave and return later in the day?
Yes, this is not a problem, as long as you are returning on the same day, and have a re-admittance slip, which you can get from the Emigrate Reception stands as you leave.
Who is exhibiting at the exhibitions?
Exhibitors include some long haul destination governments, regional and government departments, recruiters, migration specialists, removal firms, money exchange companies and relocation agents mainly from Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
Are there disabled facilities?
Yes. There is disabled access to the venue; there are also disabled toilets at the venue.
Can I bring my dog along with me?
Unfortunately only guide dogs and hearing dogs are allowed within the exhibition hall.
What happens if I lose anything?
Anything found will be handed in to the Emigrate reception desks at the entrance, and kept here until collected.
Are there toilets at the venues?
Yes there are plenty at the venue.
Is there a cash point on site?
Unfortunately not, however banks are situated nearby.
Are there public telephones on site?
There are no pay phones on site, however in emergencies there are phones on site.
Are there any catering facilities on site for snacks or for lunch?
Yes there is a café on site offering soups, sandwiches or just a snack.
On arrival you will be required to fill in a registration form on the back of your ticket.
Remember to ask as many questions as possible, now's the time to get all those unanswered questions answered - no matter how insignificant you feel they are! Exhibitors understand you maybe apprehensive and are more than happy to help with any of your questions.
