We are currently looking for Functional Testers to be based in Newcastle, Australia. You will perform and manage all aspects of the testing process, including providing sufficient evidence to confirm the operational, technical and safety principles of the signalling system and validate the design to designated authority principles, in accordance with industry standards.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Preparing Testing and Commissioning Plans.
• Appointing and coordinating suitable and sufficient testing personnel.
• Maintaining applicable procedures and processes.
• Witnessing testing activities where appropriate.
• Ensuring that testing activities are carried out in a timely, logical and cost effective manner.
• Verifying and validating the signalling system in accordance with the client's requirements and safe working practices and TMS processes.
• Assisting with the estimation and planning of testing activities.
• Recording and reporting of test activities, including assurance of the completeness, suitability and satisfactory outcome of the testing.
• Ensuring that all interfaces to the signalling system are appropriately tested.
• Undertaking functional testing on a broad range of signalling systems including relay based mechanical and processor based signal interlockings
• Performing Factory and Site Acceptance Testing of signalling systems and/or equipment.
• Acting as a mentor for Graduate Engineers and/or IRSE Licensing Scheme.
• Working in a safe manner and notifying management of any areas in which safety may be improved.

Senior Technical Officer (Signalling)
